Sonic the Hedgehog

We dedicated this website to the most fun entertainment in the world: Sonic Games! We also feature some information about Shadow the Hedgehog, his brother.

You could say it was Sega's biggest hit of all time, Sonic the Hedgehog. Ever since the release in 1991, Sonic Games have been super popular. As a character he ranks among the most popular video game icons of all time. He's also been featured in everything from comics, books, and television cartoons. Right now a popular spin-off is called "Shadow the Hedgehog." He is Sonic's brother who was created in a laboratory. When sonic games were first released in the early 1990's, Mario was nintendo's head mascot, and Sega needed a rival, someone to give back some of the power to Sega.

Looks like they played their cards right, as Sonic the Hedgehog quickly became one of the most popular video game characters of all times, and sold over 50 million sonic games! In fact, just a few years ago he was put into the walk of game, which is the gaming industries equal to the hall of fame. He went in there alongside with Mario and Zelda, other iconic figures in this industry.

The creator was artist Naoto Oshima who originally developed sonic hedgehog, along with the programmer Yuji Naka. One of the greatest aspects of the game is how the hedgehog can run so damn fast. And all those loops and blast offs make it a really entertaining video game. Not to mention all the funky music featured! I once played in a cover group doing sonic music. Anyways the gameplay is awesome and will continue to be one of the greatest of all time. Soon after Shadow the Hedgehog hit the scene, the twin brother.

Many sequels were created, before the year 2000 hit, over 9 games had already been released. My personal favorite is still the original. He then broke into television. It was the "adventures of sonic and hedgehog" show which goes back to the 1980s. It was centered around their battles and adventures versus Robotnik, the main boss. It was a pretty funny show!
